How bicycle wheels are made

Did you know that lacing bike wheels takes approximately 70 seconds with the help of a wheel building machine?

After manual preparation, which consists of placing the spokes on the hub, our highly skilled wheel specialist colleague precisely adjusts them one-by-one, in order to reach the prescribed strength with mechanical straining. Mastering the profession of wheel building takes years of professional experience with improving precision, accuracy and fine motor skills. The examination is completed within the confines of an automated process using a 0.5 mm error rate and filters out all rejected elements.  After the control process, wheels enter the last phase of production, where specialists manually apply the rim tape, the inner tube and finally the tyre according to the rotational direction.
