This time of the year we recommend to do a full service, this will ensure that the bearings are greased and the cables are lubricated. This will ensure the parts will last longer and will also work better.
It is also important to make sure the gears and brakes work flawlessly. The performance of these parts are extremely important in winter conditions.
Last but no least, we need to pay extra attention to our tyres. An old and worn tyre can be quite dangerous! If there’s an option, fit a new tyre with a bit more rigid thread for the winter months.
Tip
· There are studded tyres available from a few tyre manufacturers. These will add to our stability if we use the bike in extreme conditions.
· We recommend to use lubricant that has been specifically developed for winter conditions. This will last longer and also provide better lubrication even in harsh conditions.
