Setting up your handlebar

Always be sure that the centre point of your handlebars is fitted in the middle of the stem clamp. This way your bar will be in the middle, this is one of the most basic settings.

The next most important setting is to have your bar set close to the ideal clamping angle, this way the horizontal rotation won’t be too much. Most manufacturers mark the centre point on the bar, which is very helpful for achieving the ideal setting. Thanks to this setup you won’t apply too much pressure on your wrists and the handling also will be much better.

Tip

·         Make small adjustments rather than large ones

·         Be sure the stem clamp bolts are tightened equally and the recommended amount (this is often marked by the manufacturer)

·         Always put assembly grease onto the bolts and in between the stem plate and the handlebar.
